What happened to everything that once felt simple and good?

Spices have lost their aroma. Rice is just ‘meh’. Materials feel synthetic and disposable. Just everything feels heartless.

And when we step out, the shelves are full of products, yet we are all missing that ‘thing’. Just yesterday I overheard someone say complain about how it just wasn’t the same!

Baanar is a small response to that frustration. To all our frustrations.

Over the past few years we have been slowly building relationships with farmers, growers, and makers across different parts of India. Many of them work quietly in small quantities, growing traditional varieties and continuing practices that rarely make it into modern supply chains.

Baanar is an attempt to bring some of those old ‘things’ back to you!
